Ace Relocation Team Member Spotlight: Jennifer Rodriguez

At Ace Relocation, we’re proud to have team members who hold leadership positions within and outside our organization, helping advance our industry in meaningful ways. This series highlights those individuals and the impact they continue to make.

Written by Jennifer Rodriguez:

When I started out in the global relocation industry in 2017, I was excited by the many opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of the industry. At the time, I was relatively new to the field and although I already had a foundation of basic industry knowledge, I was eager to continue learning so I could better serve both my clients and the industry as a whole.

I first decided to join a council in 2020 as a Communications Chair for the Corporate Relocation Council of Chicago. It was a great opportunity to give back to the community and deepen my understanding of the verticals that make up the Global Relocation industry, beyond just household goods. In 2022, I was asked to step into the position of President. I was initially apprehensive as I was one of the youngest people on the board, but decided to do it despite any reservations. The role was supposed to be one year long, so I was honored when I was asked to stay for an additional year.

It was exciting to help lead the council and I grew so much professionally. It gave me the opportunity to advance my public speaking skills— something I never would’ve imagined I’d do. I was surprised to find I thoroughly enjoyed public speaking and sharing my story with groups. It even gave me opportunities to network and meet new people, such Ace Relocation’s current Vice President of Global Marketing, Mike McGill. Mike was attending a conference where I was speaking and we had the opportunity to connect afterwards. Mike was very complimentary of my speaking skills and impressed by my demeanor. He was my first introduction to Ace Relocation and his warm, professional feedback is what initially sparked my interest in joining the Ace team.

In addition to the CRC, I had the opportunity to join the Worldwide ERC in 2020. I spent a few years simply volunteering in the organization until I was asked to become the Emerging Leaders Chair. As Chair of the Emerging Leaders Committee, I helped amplify emerging leaders’ voices and continued moving industry standards forward. It was a very rewarding experience as I felt the WERC deeply appreciated our ideas and initiatives for continuing growth.

In 2024, WERC launched a momentum mentorship program and I was asked to Co-Chair. Working as an organizer and a voice of the newly founded program, I helped give a bigger voice to emerging leaders and encourage active participation from emerging professionals entering the industry.

One of the most rewarding parts of the role was working with a committee focused on community mentorship programs and professional growth opportunities. In 2025, I was honored to be the recipient of the WERC Leadership Award for a leading voice and ideation during the initial stages of the WERC Momentum  Mentorship Program.

Through each of these experiences, I’ve continued to grow both professionally and personally. In addition to my leadership roles on councils, I gained certifications as a GMS (Global Mobility Specialist) and CRP (Certified Relocation Professional). Each certification and opportunity has strengthened my industry knowledge, expanded my network, and deepened my passion for supporting others in their own career journeys. I’m grateful for the mentors, colleagues, and organizations that have invested in me along the way, and I look forward to continuing to give back to the industry that has given so much to me.
