The administrative team starting with Amanda and Crystal were responsive to every question and concern. All responses were always in a timely manner. I found the price offered by Amanda to be very fair and competitive. The actual movers, Hector, Hosea, and Memo were an outstanding team. They were so careful with all of our household goods. They were professional and performed over and above the call of duty. They are a great team and well-coordinated.

I want to thank all of the associates at Ace for all they did to make this a very successful move. We have been so stressed with selling our old house and redecorating the new home, it was so important that the move go well. My hat is off to all concerned.

Hop has been involved with AHAC for eight years, and has been the treasurer of the organization for four years. This year she is in charge of raising money to build a bridge, install a water filter system to provide clean water for 3,000 people, and buying school supplies and fixing broken school furniture for 10 classes of children who cannot afford to go to a regular school.

"I’m lucky to know AHAC and be part of the team," Hop stated. "AHAC makes me feel like I can do something for this society and for those who are not as lucky as we are in the USA. The tremendous results of our hard works is the motivation that helps us all continue to do what we are doing."

 AHAC was founded by Dr. Bruce R. Johnson, who visited Vietnam in 1993 and witnessed the poor conditions there. With the help of friends, Johnson started Americans Helping Asian Children, and each year they hold a fundraiser to collect money to help the underprivileged and disabled Vietnamese children. Hop is one of the many volunteers that make the organization such a big success.

     Angie’s List is just the latest consumer-oriented organization that is promoting the ProMover program, created by AMSA to provide consumers with a reliable starting point when shopping for an interstate mover.  Consumer Reports urged readers last June to learn how to find a mover from AMSA’s www.moving.org website, and a study by the Better Business Bureau released in January found that ProMovers are three times more likely to have A or B ratings from the BBB than non-ProMover companies.  And, that when complaints do occur, ProMovers have a significantly higher rate of resolving them with customers.

     “We appreciate Angie’s List recognizing the value of the ProMover logo,” said Linda Bauer Darr, AMSA president and CEO.  “The timing is perfect. This guidance comes just as the busy annual moving season begins from May into September.”

     AMSA and its members will run ProMover ads in USA Today during May, which is National Moving Month; and are coordinating other promotional efforts at the state and local levels.   

     AMSA, the non-profit trade association for the full-service moving industry, created the ProMover certification program in 2008 to help consumers identify legitimate, honest companies which have passed a seven-point background check and have agreed to uphold AMSA’s Code of Ethics. Nearly 3,000 AMSA interstate mover members are currently authorized to display the ProMover logo.   

     A pilot program to certify local, or intrastate, movers in California is in its second year, with other states to follow.
